Book Study
We are excited to announce our new Book Study selection for 2023-2024 is Amanda Jansen's "Rough Draft Math - Revising to Learn".
Join us in exploring how infusing the idea of revision in mathematics can lead to greater teacher knowledge of students' ideas and understandings, while also increasing student engagement, confidence, and competency in mathematics.

All of our meetings will be hosted by Math Project Director, Deb Stetson and Professor Topaz Wiscons via Zoom.

Stipend Opportunity - 2023-2024
Thank you to the Math and Science Teacher Initiative we are able to offer a limited number of stipends this year!
To qualify teachers must:
-
attend all book study Zoom sessions
-
fill out a pre and post survey for the year
-
attend one 60-minute group reflection meeting with Deb Stetson
Teachers will receive a free copy of the book and choose between a stipend for $150 OR classroom supplies up to $150. If you cannot attend all sessions, you can still join us for the book study sessions. You will just not be eligible for the stipend or free book.

If more teachers apply than we have funding for applicants will be chosen via a lottery system. Applications are due by September 28th at 9:00am. Confirmation for scholarship recipients will be sent out by October 2nd.
