QUANTITATIVE REASONING

for High School Teachers

June 15-18 and 1 online session in August, at Sacramento State

Free for up to 30 people!

Our courses are designed to flip student dispositions about mathematics through collaborative positive team engagement. The trajectory uses patterning and contextual scenarios to support student thinking and conceptual development. Come explore facilitative teaching.

    EXPLORING THINKING & REPRESENTATIONS

    for TK-2nd Grade Teachers

    July 20-23 at Sacramento State

    Instructors: Leslie Banes, Shannon Cannon, Sayonita Ghosh Hajra, Deb Stetson, and Topaz Wiscons

    Free for up to 35 people! This program also includes a $150 stipend and a Counting Collection Starter Kit! 

    EXPLORE: Counting collections, visual representations, trajectories of thinking, math games, and equitable strategies.

    DISCUSS: videos of students doing math, teacher moves, prompting reflection about student thinking; connections to 2023 Math Framework.

      SENSE MAKING FOR 3RD-12TH GRADE TEACHERS

      July 28-30 at Sacramento State

      Instructors: Dylan Besk, Sayonita Ghosh Hajra, Grace McCarty, Fernando Rodriguez, Core Shanbrom, Deb Stetson, and Topaz Wiscons

      Free for up to 30 people. Explore building a thinking culture using Building Thinking Classroom strategies through games and station activities, a book study, collaborative planning for launches & task sequences. All aligned with the 2023 Math Framework.
